I have a DV Handycam DCR-TRV22 (which works great) and I was transfering my videos to my laptop running Windows Vista via a DV cable with no problems. Well my laptop 'died' and I replaced it with a Dell Inspiron running Win 8 which does not have 1394 port and when I tried to transfer videos via the USB port I couldn't because there are no drivers for it.

When I checked I found out that there is no support for USB transfer with Win 8!!! (other than the USB ports there is an HDMI port) So my question is: how do I transfer video now?

Does this mean I can no longer use the Handycam? Can I find a driver somewhere else? Does SONY plan to provide USB support for Win 7 & 8?
