I purchased Gears of War (pc), and after numerous installation issues, I thought I had finally got it to install. Upon attempting to play it, I got an error stating a file was missing. So I attempted to remove the program. Now, it will not uninstall, OR reinstall.
Nor will it play at all. Here's the first dialogue- 'Windows cannot find 'C: Program Files(x86) Microsoft Games Gears of War binaries startup.exe'. 'Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.' I checked the installation folder, and the 'startup.exe' folder wasn't there, but the 'Startup' was. So I clicked on it. This is what I got: 'C: Program File(x86) Microsoft Games Gears of War Binaries wargame-g4wlive.exe: You cannot run the 'game with modified executable code.

Please reinstall the game.' So I attempt to uninstall the game in order to reinstall the game, and I get this: 'Error Number: 0x80040702 'Description: Failed to load DLL: GameuxInstallHelper. 'Setup will now terminate.' In a nutshell: The game failed to install, and now will not uninstall or run.

Hi all, Gears of war will not start, once i put the disk in and click on play the screen goes blank and a error msg comes up saying ( to play gears of war please double click on the startup.exe). So i went in to the binaries and double clicked on the startup application in gow but the same error comes up. I have all the latest patches, drivers and googled it and found out a lot of people have had this problem on xp and there is a fix for xp for the driver of the amd dual core but i am running win 7 64bit and there is no fix that i can find.
